Thierry Porcher joins HPC Project as Director, R&D
HPC Project is proud to announce the hiring of Thierry Porcher as Director, research & development. He will manage the R&D team based in Montpellier, in the south of France.
"Thierry Porcher is a strategic hire for us," says Pierre Fiorini, HPC Project’s CEO. "Thierry brings a deep expertise in both the management of experienced developer teams, and an understanding of the complex fields of supercomputing and parallel computing. We know his talents and expertise will help us achieve our goals and deliver high-quality software and consulting services."
Thierry graduated from ENS Cachan. During 15 years, he held several positions in the supercomputing field for Defense laboratories: French MoD then CEA/DAM (military applications directorate of the French Atomic Energy Authority). He's an expert in supercomputing, parallel computing and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining HPC Project, Thierry was in charge of managing the national supercomputing resource center (CINES) of the French universities.
